Christopher J. Gimbert

Christopher Gimbert brings over 25 years of experience across private equity, private credit, secondary investments and C-level operating roles, spanning asset managers, portfolio companies and fintech businesses. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Star Mountain Capital and has been with the firm since its inception in 2010 and serves on its Executive and Operating Committees.

Prior to helping launch Star Mountain Capital, Mr. Gimbert was the Founder of a lower middle-market interim CFO advisory business serving small businesses, with a focus on financial infrastructure and capital formation. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments, where he analyzed alternative investment managers and at KPMG M&A Advisory, where he focused on due diligence and post-acquisition integration, including serving in operating roles at portfolio companies.  He has also been involved in venture investing activities, including investments in fintech lending platforms.

Mr. Gimbert holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, where he was an InSITE Fellow, an entrepreneurship and venture fellowship advising small businesses, and founded the NYU Venture Community. He also holds a BSBA in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, where he won the annual business plan competition for a company he co-founded.
